“Kotodama ~ 言霊 ” Words hold frequency

Reiki is a Japanese Energy Healing technique.

In Japanese tradition, Kotodama refers to the belief that words carry spiritual and vibrational power—the capacity to shape our reality. Every sound, every utterance, ripples through body, mind, and spirit.

Take the word “Arigato ~ ありがとう” (meaning thank you.) Spoken with genuine gratitude, it lifts the frequency. But even when repeated mechanically, its resonance eventually reshapes the inner field. After 10,000 repetitions, reality itself begins to bend toward gratitude. This principle echoes the Hawaiian practice of Hoʻoponopono.

One of the most intriguing explorations of this phenomenon comes from Dr. Masaru Emoto’s studies on water. His experiments suggest that human consciousness—the intention behind words, prayers, or music—directly affects the crystalline structure of water. Gratitude and love create beautiful, coherent molecular patterns, while anger or neglect distorts them.

Why does this matter so much? Because we are made of water. Studies show the adult human body is approximately 60% water, rising to 75% in children and decreasing to about 50% in the elderly. Every cell, every organ depends on hydration not only for function—transporting oxygen, nutrients, and energy—but also for coherence. Dehydration affects far more than thirst: it can show up as joint pain, emotional imbalance, hyperactivity, fatigue, lowered immunity, and premature aging.

This is why I always remind you to drink water after each session (other liquid is not counted) Yet, even when we consume enough, parts of the body can remain dehydrated. BodyTalk can help bring hydration into balance where the body needs it most when it comes up with your session.

So do not underestimate the quiet power of water. It is both a mirror and a messenger—receiving the vibration of our words, then carrying that frequency through our being.

When you speak with love, when you whisper gratitude, when you drink consciously—you are tuning your own waters.
